In 2001, my wife Nancy and I purchased 83 acres of what was, at one time, the Old Mazeaux Ranch. The land was originally homestead in 1874 by Theodore Mazeaux and served as a family farm and a cattle ranch. In the late 1870's, there was even some gold prospecting in the seasonal creek at the far Southern portion of the land. Today, Nancy and I see ourselves as caretakers of the land while embracing our passion of wine making. We are a small boutique vineyard and winery located in the foothills of the Sierras where we focus on growing and handcrafting less than 500 cases of exceptional wines. We grow our own grapes on premium rootstock, using a combination of modern and traditional viniculture and enological practices. Our goal is to produce outstanding full body wines for family and friends. Please join us and try our wines as we continue with this exciting experience.
